Consultation and planning

Mr Khanl will assess the potential causes, review your health, examine the chest and agree on a tailored plan. Photos may be taken and a summary sent to you after the first visit. Additional investigations such as blood tests and scans may be required before surgery.

Pre‑operative preparation

Avoid aspirin for one week, discuss all medicines and maintain a healthy lifestyle. These steps help reduce complications.

Procedure

Surgery takes about 2 hours under general anaesthetic and treatment may involve liposuction, surgical excision of glandular tissue or both. Incisions are usually placed at the edge of the areola when excision is required to give a discrete scar.

Immediately after

Your chest is supported with dressings and a compression garment. Drains are required for the first few days after surgery. Discomfort is usually mild and managed with simple pain relief. You will receive clear instructions before going home.

Recovery & return to activity

You’ll need to wear a compression garment day and night for around four weeks to support healing and minimise swelling. Exercise should be avoided during this time, with most patients returning to normal activities within six weeks. Follow-up appointments will ensure your recovery is on track, and swelling and bruising will continue to improve over the following weeks, revealing your final result.
